Does your hygiene stink?

Brenton Harley, Director of Technical Account Management at Tanium hosted a workshop at the 2017 CIO Leaders Summit Australia on ‘Does your hygiene stink?’ Cyber Security is hot and customers are bombarded with trending terms like APT, AI, Ransomware & Kill Chain. But more than 90% of breaches aren’t the result of skilled adversaries using well crafted malware, they’re less advanced and often times a simple update or patch could have prevented them. The basics really matter and it starts with visibility. You can’t manage or secure what you don’t know about and unfortunately the tools you depend on lack the speed and scale to help you improve your IT hygiene. Tanium was created to solve this problem and today we’re relied upon by hundreds of the worlds largest and most valuable companies. Brenton delivered a live demonstration and interactive presentation on where your greatest threats really lie and learn how Tanium can help you identify and close gaps you probably don’t even realise you’ve got.

Brenton is a Director of Technical Account Management Asia South/ANZ and is responsible for the technical Pre & Post sales for the Asia South/ANZ region. He manages a small team of technical experts focused on delivering exceptional customer results. Tanium delivers 15 second visibility and control to the endpoint, across a diverse range of operating system platforms. The Balancing act of successful digital transformation between customer and data center

Nathan Steiner, Head of Systems Engineering ANZ for Veeam delivered a keynote presentation to delegates at the 2017 CIO Leaders Summit Australia on ‘The Balancing act of successful digital transformation between customer and data center’. Digital transformation of organisations is about differentiation, competitive advantage and ensuring the creation of customer value, customer centricity and the development of new routes to market to create new revenue streams. These transformations can only be delivered through capability provided from an organisations technology foundation within the data center. 2017 sees the data center as ‘King’ in digital transformation and ensuring that meeting customer demands, value and experience, is equally weighted against the access to services, data and applications in ‘Real-Time’, ‘Always-On’ and across a converged set of services being delivered through Hybrid Cloud platforms.

In this session, Nathan gave us an insightful look at the two key focus areas of digital transformation that will be imperative to 2017 business success; Customer value and centricity vs data center capability across a Hybrid Cloud model. We explored in detail just how important an organisations ‘digital edge’ will be via the provisioning of enterprise continuity, workload mobility, visibility and compliance within such hybrid cloud models.

Nathan heads Veeam’s ANZ Systems Engineering Group. In this role he takes responsibility for leading, driving and owning Veeam’s technical pre-sales strategy for Australia and New Zealand.Nathan also evangelises Veeam’s technology value proposition and leads, motivates and inspires the team of pre-sales engineers across ANZ.
